Youth Express isn’t a program run for youth, it’s a program run by youth- with the help of some encouraging adults. Throughout the Youth Express organization, it is understood that personal success is not possible without personal investment. Opportunities are structured to encourage and reward participation in creating and attending activities. This is called the "youth serving youth" model. This model has been tested for many years at the Youth Express and it continues to be successful. For over a decade, Youth Express has shown St. Paul that young people can work together to create jobs, build skills, play, learn, and give back to the community. Youth Express members continue to show that they can make the community stronger one young person at a time.
